White
wools are dyed
in a canning pot.
It takes weeks
to stock pile
enough color,
but when it's
finally done,
the result is
thrilling! All
the colors you
see in the picture
started out as
white fluff.
My wools are mothproofed in the dye bath. Just in case you were worried that bugs might eat your valuable work of art. I use industrial dyes, boiled and set in a strong acid solution overnight. There is NO BLEED when the wools are washed the next day. These colors do not fade. Finished works should be vacuumed regularly to extract dust. Artworks can be washed, gently, by hand or dry cleaned, without any ill effects.
